PRNT KTCHN Week 1 Online – via zoom

PRNT KTCHN is coming to Lybster!

Sharing creative recycling concepts, PRNT KTCHN will provide access to 3D printing and recycling technologies in the North Lands Creative Studio!

To kick this new project off there will be a number online workshops on 3D printing and digital design.

Once the equipment is installed there will be a series of in person workshops providing the knowledge of running these machines and how to use the PRNT KTCHN equipment.

From there we can really kick start recycling waste prints and waste plastics into new filament for more creative projects!

Join US!

Come learn about 3D printing and design in an easy to understand format. Discover your first steps into using and designing for 3D printing and the varied creative uses you can create unique designs, prototype your ideas and repair, replace or modify your existing things. Want to create a unique vase, a specialist device you’ve been working on or even just a novelty hook for your keys? This is the workshop for you. We will also be discussing the ecological impact and practical uses for protecting our environment using this innovative practice.

About

PRNT KTCHN is a technology, arts and recycling project created by Chris Duddy.

Having begun researching 3D printing in early 2011 and finally obtaining a 3D printer around 2012 Chris spent many years repairing, designing and building his own 3D printers. With a background in education, technology andt a concern for the environment and the volume of plastic and electronic waste being disposed of throughout the world PRNT KTCHN was born.

3D printers can be used to recycle a wide range of common thermoplastic waste, if we can provide education and truly accessible resources such as community 3D printers as well as recycling and repair facilities we could impact the amount of plastic waste we throw away and prevent items going to landfill. PRNT KTCHN aims to provide a network of accessible community 3D print and recycling facilities and the knowledge on how to use them.
