The land beneath Caithness teems with the vestiges of life, it is a hidden place, an ancient place, inaccessible and dark, a country where fossil fish will swim forever in their stoney seas.
Help us bring these fish back to the surface as we build a wall of glass and stone to begin our North Lands community garden project.
Using clay, collage and drawings we invite you come along to our relaxed, friendly studio and create models based on these ancient Caithness fish. The models will be used to make impressions in casting sand and molten glass will be poured to make the images solid and permanent.
The Art Garden will be accessible to members of the public at all times. Groups, schools and individuals will be encouraged to make use of the multi purpose space.
Thanks to Gunn & Sons Ltd and G.M.R Henderson for their kind donations towards building the foundations for the art garden.
