Lotte Thorsoe was trained as a laboratory technician but switched to art glass. She trained in England before apprenticing under Jan Erik Ritzman and Sven Ake Carlsson in Sweden. She is a graduate of the Design School Kolding in Denmark. Apart from making her own work, she is a freelance designer at the Holmegaard Factory Royal Scandinavia.
