For well over four decades David Reekie has been both artistically and technically a true innovator in the field of glass. He studied Glass and Ceramics at Stourbridge College of Art and lectured for 10 years at North Staffordshire Polytechnic until he moved in 1986 to Norwich where he set up his studio. A central theme of David’s work is the threat that modern life poses to our individuality and to the natural world. His work more often than not begins with a drawing which he translates into three-dimensional forms in cast glass. David has exhibited, lectured and taught extensively all over the world and his works are held in numerous public and private collections world wide.
