Born in Liverpool in 1975, Alice Betts moved to Wales as a child and studied architectural glass to the Diploma level at North Wales School of Art. In 1997, Betts moved to Edinburgh where she completed her B.A. Hons in Glass and Architectural Glass in Edinburgh in 1999. She currently works as a freelance arts educator and is a visiting lecturer at the Sunderland University, Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen. She is also working on a commission for environmental and temporary arts projects. She has been based at the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop since 2002.
