North Lands Creative is a centre of excellence for glass making in the Highlands of Scotland. Over its rich 25-year history, it has become one of the world’s principal hubs for the study, research and exploration of glass making. Situated in a small fishing village in Caithness, the organisation supports and guides artists in their careers, providing a professional learning space with specialist facilities as well as training and development. Facilitating commissions and the production of new work, it creates other opportunities through a year-round programme of classes and residencies.

Centred around a core belief in conservation, education and sustainability of the art form, North Lands Creative promotes iconic heritage to contemporary studio glass and supports an exemplary educational and exhibition programme.

A celebration of the United Nations International Year of Glass 2022. The twenty-eight chosen artists will exhibit stunning pieces that offer a snapshot of the influence that North Lands Creative has in the world of glass. As a national charity our income goes directly into helping build a stronger glass community, which benefits many artists and makers globally. ‘

North Lands Creative will return to Collect, the international art fair for modern craft and design, in 2022. We will showcase a collection of ambitious work from 28 talented International artists and makers working in glass.
