Young people have been hit hard by Covid-19 – especially their mental health and future job prospects. But we know that creativity can play a big part in helping improve mental wellbeing and also in building the skills needed to take on future challenges and employment opportunities.
North Lands Creative has received funding from The Ideas Fund to offer part time employment to 6 young people from Caithness to help us explore the importance of our creative projects and the value of creativity on wellbeing and the future of the young people who take part in them.
We believe that young people should not be left behind in this crisis and we wholeheartedly believe that creativity has an intrinsic role in helping young people to become more resilient for the challenges that lay ahead.
We are really excited to be recruiting young people for the new North Lands Creative – Youth Advisory Group. We want to involve a diverse group of young people, representing different backgrounds and life experiences across Caithness.
Young People don’t have to have an interest or background in Arts or Creativity, but we do need Young People with opinions and who aren’t shy about saying what they think.
