Michèle Lapointe, glass artist, lives in Montreal (Canada). Glass is omnipresent in her public art works as well as in her gallery installations. Her artistic approach revolves around the passing of time, memory, and the fragility of children. In her body of work Mute Tales, she pursues a journey between the imaginary world of children’s stories and that of human distress. She has participated in more than 100 exhibitions and her creations can be found in many public collections, including those of the Musée des Beaux-arts de Montréal, Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, Canada and MusVerre in France. Since 1989, she is teaching at Espace VERRE.
