ARTIST STATEMENT
FRANTZSEN&MJANGER
Frantzsen&Mjanger is located in Bergen, Norway, consisting of Maria Almås Frantzsen, MA in visual/glass and Ruth Hol Mjanger, associate professor in drama at NLA University College. In our joint artistic practice we investigate how to reach out to the community outside art galleries and studios, by challenging the traditional approach to glass in a meeting between crafts and performative, contemporary art. In 2019 the duo was awarded The Craft Prize from The Relief Fund for Visual Artists (BKH).
