Vulnerability sparks connections. Growing up, people around me stressed the idea that being vulnerable is a weakness. However, as I explore this intimate feeling, I realize that vulnerability is a human experience that forges relationships and fosters trust.
My current work explores topics surrounding mental health and human connection through vulnerable performance pieces. They invite viewers into an anxious space while evoking hope through the presence of social support. I use glass as a material because of its state of uncertainty. It is fragile yet lasting; solid yet fluid; mouldable yet rigid.
