Glass Meet The Future Film Festival 2021

Film shows my creative process around a glass collection named “Growth””. I am talking about the idea of combining two crafts: glass blowing and wicker weaving and about how I understand human growth. When creating the collection, I operated at the meeting point of plaiting – providing an organic base and free blowing – giving a light open form. Objects start from the shape of the roots with a trace of nature on the surface, evolving into the form given to them by man. This transformation is a reflection of the constant movement that takes place between our human roots and our aspirations.
