Alina Orlov (b.1990), lives and works in Chicago, USA and Tel Aviv, Israel. She holds a MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, USA (2020) and BFA with honors from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel (2015), and participated in student exchange at Slade School of Fine Art, London, UK (2014). Sculpture and video installations draw on performance and filmmaking traditions and tackle gender, performativity and sexuality. Using her body as both subject and agent, these works present naked and seductive alter egos who channel a seemingly vulnerable hyper-intimacy.
