My latest works are inspired by an underwater photo project in which I document the beauty of thawing Swiss mountain lakes in spring. I freeze this world of icebergs floating above the lake bottom in glass. Even earlier, my love of photographing icy winter landscapes influenced my work in the studio. A series of wall panels on the theme of ice has been growing ever since. And my earliest works explored the theme of hands and I kept finding new ways to integrate them into my glass sculptures. Priska Jacobs is a Switzerland based artist and works in the medium of glass for twenty years. She got her workshop education in the UK and Switzerland and she participated in numerous Exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Her work is represented in two Museums and has won five awards.
