artist bio

Born in Mexico City, since he was young, he have had contact with the glass work, he studies specialization in glass sculpture in Mexico and abroad. He has several solo and group exhibitions in Mexico, USA, Turkey, Japan, Bulgaria and Korea. Highlighting the solo exhibitions: Cosmos at the Museum of the Bicentennial Mexican Cultural Center in 2018 and Ancestors in the Museum of Modern Art of the State of Mexico in 2008 and the group: International Biennial of Glass of Bulgaria in the Historical Museum of Sofia, Bulgaria in 2017 and Invited Artist at Seto City Art Museum in Japan in 2014. He has been deserving of various recognitions such as: National System of Art Creators (Mexican National Council of Arts) 2018-20, Representation of Mexico in the 1st. International Glass Biennial of Bulgaria 2017, Young Creators (National Council of Arts) 2015-16, Young Creators FOCAEM (State of Mexico) 2014 and 2007, Artistic Residence “Seto Ceramics and Glass Art Exchange Program” Seto, Japan 2013, Honorable Mention V National Biennial of Arts Visuals Yucatan, 2011, 2nd. place at the second International Contemporary Artistic Glass Biennial, New Proposals category, Monterrey Glass Museum and CONACULTA 2008, Study Grant “Glass Carving, engraving and cold construction, The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass, N.Y. USA. 2008. Has teaching experience in Mexico, USA and Bulgaria. His work is present in collections such as those of the Museo del Vidrio Monterrey, Mexico. Eskişehir Glass Museum, Eskişehir, Turkey. Seto City Art Museum, Seto, Japan, Geumgang Nature Art Collection, Korea in addition to various private collections.  He’s also present in the Dictionary of Mexican Sculptors of the XX Century
