Monika Naydenova is a glass artist from Bulgaria.
In her work she always gives priority to what distinguishes glass from all other materials – transparency and the way glass transmits, absorbs and reflects light.
“I like the dialogue with the glass, its behavior of a living organism with which you communicate and from which you learn. It cultivates patience and requires respect, but what it gives you in return, no other material can – glass allows you to see inside and through it! This eternal game with the light has always excited me.”
Monika’s previous experience in working with metals is often reflected in her current glass projects using the best of both materials together.
