Kazushi Nakada is an artist from a Japanese ceramist family. He has lived and worked in Europe for more than 23 years. His artwork is shown in Europe, Asia and the US. He also taught at several Universities as a lecturer and a professor in Europe.
He is the third generation of a ceramist family. His grandfather Rokusaburo Nakada (中田六三郎）was a potter of Kiyomizu-yaki and his father(中田明守) was a prominent ceramist and received Zuiho medal (瑞宝単光章受章) from the Japanese government in 2015.
Because of his family background and his passion for art, Kazushi decided to focus on his artwork and started to produce new works in 2016.
He uses a variety of mediums such as glass, ceramics, video and performance. His work focuses on critical events of societies around the world and he continues travelling.
Latest projects “My archaeology” and “Pink Copycat Project (P.C.P)” are shown in Asia and Europe. The P.C.P exhibition in Shanghai was sponsored by Ricoh China/Shanghai Ltd in 2019. “My archaeology” tour exhibition is starting in 2020.
Kazushi currently has a solo exhibition running to the 28th March 2021 at the Art Front Gallery in Tokoyo.
