artist bio

Born in 1989 in Dąbrowa Górnicza. She studied at the Faculty of Ceramisc and Glass at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland.  Since 2013 she has been a research-and-teaching assistant in the Glass in Architecture Studio as well as the Stained Glass Studio at the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. In 2016 she started a procedure for a doctoral degree. With her projects she strives to adopt a novel approach to glass, freqently revealing a new contemporary context for traditional techniques. She realized eight individual exhibitions and participated in numerous of group exhibition at home and abroad. Has won several competitions, both national and international in the field of glass, design, graphics and painting.   SELECTED ACHIEVMENTS: 2018 – Honorable Mention EMERGE 2018, Bullseye Gallery, USA.  2018 and 2020 – International Glass competition -35 Milano Vetro, Sforzesco Castle Milano, Italy.  2017 – Publication in NEW GLASS REVIEW 38 – 100 glass works of 2016, Corning Museum of Glass, New York. 2017 – Honorable Mention in the Glass Prize 2017 – bullseye glass artist category. 2017 – Polish design. Tommorow is today – Museum for New design, Milano Design Week, Milan. 2016 – European Glass Context 2016, Bornholm Art Museum, Bornholm, Denmark. 2016 – International Glass Biennale 2D → 2016, Vilnius, Lithuania.  2015 – First Place in Zwieseler Kölbl 2015 – European Price for emerging Glass Artists, Zwiesel, Germany.  2014 – International Contest of Design and Craft “Talente 2014”, Munich, Germany. 2012 – International Glass Contest Stanislav Libensky Award 2012, Praha, Czech. 2012 – Special award in the international glass contest “Sanssouci Junior Glass Match”, Karlovy Vary, Czech.  Courses / Workshop / Residencies: 2019 – Glass painting collage – my author’s workshop about variety of techniques used for enameling glass, Urban Glass, NEW YORK. 2019 Artist Residency, GentGlas, Gent, Gandawa, Belgium
