Gulfidan Ozmen, started her art education in family with fine arts graduated mother and father, completed her art education in Istanbul Fine Arts High School, Painting Department and Mimar Sinan University, Fine Arts Faculty, Ceramic and Glass Department, in MFA degree. Her main medium is glass but she also works with wood, metal and ceramics. She worked with several glass artists as an assistant in Turkey and abroad. She has also experienced in glass tile industry, Vitra Tiles, Eczacibasi Group, in development and production processes which collapse design, product development and serial production. She had 6 years experience of teaching her graduated university Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and she had classes in mixed media and screen printing in her own studio and Pera Museum, Istanbul.
In her residency program in Haystack 2016, she started to focus on more 3D works based on her previous thoughts and drawings. She inspired a lot from a relationship of architecture and nature. In her last studies she also works on balance theme, which is about emptiness and fullness about the material, and archaeology which is about geometric simplicity of historical ruins.
