With its changing states, strengths and weaknesses combined with its malleable glossy surface, glass has proven to be a conceptually sound medium for Lake to explore her understanding of Freud, Lacan, Kristeva, Zizek and Ballard. Her series Pleasure Drive journeys through symbolism, movement, stillness, conflict, hedonism, exuberance and sexual lust.
