North Lands Creative is a unique studio organisation and gallery in Lybster, Caithness. Our focus is on contemporary glass and we have a national importance in developing glass in the UK. Through the Alastair Pilkington Studio and Gallery, North Lands Creative facilitates and supports professional artists to make new artwork. It also offers a highly visible and accessible programme of talks, events and education activities around the studio and gallery that engages visitors with artists and art-making.
This is the first phase of our reopening, so for now, our studio will provide service-only hire to facilitate our members resuming to access for other bookings by the end of the year.
Our Quatre Bras Gallery will remain closed and there is no general public access to any of our buildings until the second phase planned for early 2021. Please make an appointment before visiting our studio or office.
Amongst all the enthusiasm, the safety of visitors, staff and membership holders continues to be our top priority. We’re using this first phase of reopening as a time to provide a calm, safe and welcoming space and the introduction of new guidelines advised by the Scottish Government.
We’ve also made some changes to our buildings, all new protocols will be explained at time of booking and when you visit.
